The ceramic objects on view are impractical vessels: they hold what they can, until they can't. Sometimes they don't hold anything. They cannot keep your valuables safe but they tend to make their contents more interesting to look at, which is a form of alchemy. 

I like sculptures that remind us that curiosity and play are essential to living. I make work that responds to the sensibilities of children because in childhood, play and learning are one and the same. Play is a mode of communication, a medium for social connection, a means to explore, release and envision possibilities.
